Lajos Kemény MD, PhD, DSc, head of the Department of Dermatology and Allergology,
University of Szeged, Hungary (www.dermall.hu) is an internationally recognized
dermatologist, board member of the European Society for Dermatological Research
between 1996-2000, and board member of the European Immundermatological Society
since 2001, member of the Executive Committee of the European Dermatology Forum
since 2004. His main research interest is skin pharmacology, innate immunity
and photodermatology. He introduced the 308 nm XeCl excimer laser based phototherapeutical
method into dermatology, developed a phototherapeutical method and device for
the treatment of allergic rhinitis. He has more than 150 original publications,
11 book chapter, 3 patents and was involved in a number innovative clinical trials.
