Alan R. Novak

ALAN R. NOVAK was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company in October, 1997. Mr. Novak is Chairman of Infra Group, L.L.C., an international project finance and development company. He is also Chairman of Lano International, Inc., a real estate development company. Mr. Novak is a graduate of Yale University, Yale Law School, and Oxford University, as a Marshall Scholar. Mr. Novak practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Swidler & Berlin, Chartered. His public service includes three years as an officer in the United States Marine Corp., a U.S. Supreme Court clerkship with Justice Potter Stewart, Senior Counsel, Senator E. M. Kennedy, Senior Executive Assistant to Undersecretary of State, Eugene Rostow, and the Executive Director of President Johnson's Telecommunications Task Force. Mr. Novak was appointed by President Carter and served for five years as Federal Fine Arts Commissioner.
